Description:
- “ MEDITRON ” make Earth Leakage Relay provides protection against earth leakage as the unit gives a trip command to the control device. An earth fault current produces an output in the CT which is fed to the Earth Leakage Relay. If the fault current exceeds the adjustable trip setting of the relay, the unit trips. The contacts of this relay can then be used to isolate the fault, usually by tripping a Circuit Breaker.
The Earth Leakage Relay is a static electronic relay. Adjustable sensitivity along with adjustable definite time delay allow efficient discrimination within the systems.
Salient Features:
- Trip sensitivity is adjustable in 8 steps.
- Trip time delay is adjustable in 8 steps of 50 ms each from 50 ms to 500 ms.
- 1NO + 1NC aux contacts 6A rating at 230AC or 24V DC.
- Status Indication - Power on and relay tripped indications with LEDs.
- Relay OK (self checking) with TEST Push button.
- Toggle switch for selecting auto or manual mode.
- Contacts - 1NO + 1NC, rated 6A, 230V for resistive loads.
- Enclosures - Flush mounting on door with a standard cut out of 91 x 91 mm and external dimension of 96 x 96 mm case. Overall size (H) 96 x (W) 96 x (D) 168 mm.
- CBCT - Standard internal diametre of CBCT is 40 & 65 mm. Other diameters & rectangular sizes also available.
- Accuracy :- 5% on time delay, 5% sensitivity.
Application:
- The Earth Leakage Relay can be used to protect single, two or three phase circuit with or without a neutral. Both trip sensitivity, pickup current and definite operating trip time delay are individually adjustable thus allowing discrimination with other relays in the system.
- Fail Safe versions available. Earth Leakage relay for neutral sensing with facility for sensing of neutral breakage available with Fail Safe feature.
